"Fly fishing is the most fun that you can have, while standing up." The members of the R.B. Winter Chapter of Trout Unlimited invite you to their winter fly tying classes. The classes kicked off this past Monday.

Family Tyes will conduct beginner and advanced fly tying classes on Wednesday evenings, starting Feb. 1 and running through April 25, in Harrison Middle School, 129 Windvale Drive, in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District.

This year's annual sale of bluebird boxes is underway by the Pennsylvania Game Commission at its Harrisburg headquarters at 2001 Elmerton Ave. Boxes sell for $9.54, including sales tax, and customers can select from assembled boxes or kits that can be assembled as a wood-working project.

With a deep freeze settling into areas east of the Cascades, anglers are breaking through the ice to catch fish.
